GOTime · A planning layer for outdoor apps

Let your users compare a planned time with another window

GOTime shows a time comparison inside a sample activity app. For a planned run, it places heat and air-quality estimates beside the selected time and another available window, then explains what changed.

The science behind the question

Why the same plan can feel different at another time

Heat, air pollution and activity each matter to the comparison. Temperature alone does not describe heat conditions, and air pollution includes both particles and gases. We start with the research, then ask what someone planning time outdoors needs to know.

Our first product concept

The same run at two different times

The sample starts inside a fictional activity app. Choose when to run, view the conditions, and see how that time compares with another window. The suggested time appears first; the conditions explain it underneath.

For platform teams

Put the comparison where people already plan

The first useful placement depends on where your users choose an outdoor activity.

Activity appsLet someone compare another time before confirming a planned run, walk or ride.

Route and mapping appsShow conditions alongside the place and time a user has selected.

Wearable companion appsBring a short planning comparison into the phone experience that supports activity on the wrist.

A focused pilot

Start with one planning decision

We can begin with one activity, one group of users and one question: does comparing time windows help people plan? Together, we can choose where GOTime sits in your app and measure both use of the comparison and a partner outcome, such as repeat use of your planning feature.
